Correction & Retraction

Correction & Retraction

Soshum: Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities

Soshum is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record. When errors or ethical issues are identified in published articles, appropriate actions will be taken in the form of corrections or retractions, depending on the nature and severity of the issue.

A correction is issued when minor errors are identified that do not significantly affect the overall results, interpretations, or conclusions of the article. These may include typographical errors, minor data inaccuracies, or author information updates. Corrections will be clearly documented and linked to the original article to ensure transparency.

A retraction is issued in cases of serious ethical violations or fundamental errors that compromise the validity of the research. This includes, but is not limited to, plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, or unethical research practices. Retracted articles will remain accessible but will be clearly marked as retracted to preserve the scholarly record.

The decision to issue a correction or retraction is made by the editorial team, in consultation with authors and, when necessary, reviewers or institutional representatives. All actions are conducted in accordance with established ethical guidelines and best practices in scholarly publishing.

Through this policy, Soshum ensures transparency, accountability, and trust in academic publishing, while safeguarding the integrity of its publications.
